Budget Day?? (Bird Sh/1/t)
One of my, occasional, time-wasters is Google© Earth. I "fly" to somewhere, drop to earth and then drive along a section of road. Last twice I was around the isle of Skye then I was on The Atlantic Road in Norway.
After the 3 X half-walks debacle on Sunday, I thought I'd take a look at the Askham area again, the easy way. I dropped to earth at the point where we parked the car, aimed the scene and set off. I hadn't travelled many yards before a blemish became obvious. Just for the hell of it, instead of looking at the path entrance I got side-tracked and followed the blemish, as it were.
It took me right through the Lowther Estate (Yes marra, I know I'm looking backwards on 1 or 2, it was the lens orientation), onto the A 6 heading south, through Hackthorpe to the turnoff for Great Strickland, at which point they must have
1. Turned off.
2. Changed camera.
3. Wiped the lens.
or
4. Knocked off for the day.
My money's on options 1 or 4 because the sky scene changes in a matter of feet if you continue south on the A 6. At which point I gave up the chase.
Today's alternative was some Spindle tree leaves, since the mist prevented us from seeing as far as the Beacon all bleeping day and there was no viable reason for a run out.
