Fishermen's Bastion

Today we explored Castle Hill in the rain, so actually we only saw part of it and alot of the inside of eating and drinking establishments. This is the area behind the Matthias church, which usually has a panoramic view of Budapest. The guidebook says:

The Fishermen's Bastion was built in Gothic style at the end of the 19th century. Its seven towers represent the seven Magyar tribes who settled in the Carpathian Basin in 896 and whose leaders' statue can be seen at Heroes' Square. The Bastion takes its name from the guild of fishermen that was responsible for defending this stretch of the city walls in the Middle Ages.
