Golden beech
I was almost late for my lunch date today as I stopped on the way to photograph beech trees. My route took me through Tyrrells Wood, a winding road through an avenue of mature beeches. They look beautiful at any time of year, and now they are a golden yellow, not as russet as usual, maybe because of the wet weather. Sadly it isn't possible to stop on that road for photographs so further on I pulled into a car park on Headley Heath. There were blips in every direction! Then, further on, I went through pretty farmland and stopped the car again. But the beech tree blip won.
