RAIN, RAIN GO AWAY

"Can you do anything about this weather?"

This cardinal’s expression looks like he’s asking if it will ever quit raining. Very windy and lots of rain today – I hate to think of him out there now, let alone what he’ll have to endure during the winter.

Yesterday the yard was clear of leaves, but with today’s weather by noon it was totally covered again with more. It’s an impossible job if we wait until all the leaves have fallen so we just keep clearing, and clearing again until the snow falls. Good exercise though – at least that’s what I tell myself.

(I don't know why these leaves look so chartreuse when they're wet. Wish I could have toned them down a bit, but then the cardinal would lose his color too.)
