Let them eat cake

Today was the day of the joint luncheon I'd organised, the American Women's Club inviting the British Women's Club for an English tea themed meal - finger sandwiches, scones with clotted cream, mini cakes and victoria sponge, all washed down with three different teas. The meal was accompanied by a tea sommelier who tried very hard to get tea facts into our cake obsessed heads, but I do remember why high tea is called high tea.
Great, if calorie laden fun.
