Anyone for tennis?
The 704 inhabitant village isn't over-endowed with public facilities: a church, 3 chapels, a "youth house" also used for general meetings, a firebrigade building, a kindergarten and a small hard surfaced ball game court. However we do have a "private" tennis club which seems to be quite active and even takes part in regular matches against other clubs in the region. The season has now ended, but as the nets still in place, presume some individuals still play from time to time.
This was the only photo I took today, seemed to be busy doing less spectacular daily things. It had turned out to be a lovely day, if a little windy. Didn't get around to Bliping as I didn't get in until 8:00pm and then started a creative cooking marathon trying to use up some of the "excess" ingredients from last weeks family visit. So baked an aubergine, potato, cheese/wine sauce thing with a couple of Frankfurters, called "Viennas" here. Hopefully will get around to it later.
Did take a quick peek at some of the comments from the last few days - thank you all so much. I was very touched by Nogbads extra favourite awards but as he is as good as family, have to admit this may have a personal background rather than a comment on my photographic talent. Was also very touched by many emails and text messages last week asking what was going on and why I wasn't posting. Luna's family in Berlin having concerns I was having health problems. I was simply "sucking up" having the family around, so much so, I hardly reached for the camera. Didn't help that WiFi was down all week!
