By far the highlight of my day was meeting Katherine and Barbara here, trying to go incognito in their dark shades but not really succeeding. They fell easy prey to my flattery! Two totally lovely ladies, still both as sharp as a pin and living an active life. Someone elsewhere used the word vigour to describe Katherine on the left, and that is so absolutely right. They both had a real vigour about them, and a cheeky sense of humour to go with it. They offered up each other's ages. Katherine is 95 and Barbara is 90. They are best of friends and it was lovely to witness their closeness. Real partners in crime. I really look forward to seeing them again.

I've just about met all my deadlines. It's an early start tomorrow morning to take a little break.
