Fennel salad: a pause in the fermentation factory
The wonderful sunshine today deserved a salad lunch.
I had some crisp fennel in the fridge and it's brilliant marinated with orange dressing (as is my fermeneted feta cheese - more of which later). I threw in some really red apples which my sister had from a friend's tree, and some fresh walnuts which came from my father's tree.
I had fun practising ways to crack the walnuts open with my bare hands like how he showed me.
