Dome of extravagance.
A back blip for yesterday, Saturday.
We had to go up to Manchester for a family event. Very short duration but massively significant. Unfortunately I cannot say more, but it was a somber issue.
We had the rest of the day free. A trip up to the moors was declined due to the rain and wind. Instead we ended up somewhere else.
Is this a theatre - No.
Is it a public building - technically No. Yes, it is open to the public but is in fact privately owned.
Is it a cathedral - No!
It is to some however, a place of worship. It's a place where many go to place their hard earned cash on the alter of commercialism (not one of my favourite places though). It is the Trafford Centre in Manchester. I have been known to worship Old Trafford (in fact both) just up the road, but my need to rush here is very low on my list of priorities. It wasn't in my gift yesterday to choose.
