pottery workshop

I went to this fun "taster" workshop this afternoon/evening. The lady who runs the studio showed us around and demonstrated throwing a variety of pots on the wheel and then making the basic pots into jugs, teapots & cakestsnds. We then got the chance to make a decorated "upside down" pot. I'm sure that's not its proper name. We go back in a couple of weeks to finish it. The lady who runs this is going to do some courses , so I might have a go in the New Year. The only other time I ever tried pottery was at Art college and I made such a hash of it. I started off with a large vase and ended up with a very thick sided egg cup! Well I can only get better!
