Diary of an Edinburgher

Coffee in the garden. In my PJs!

I had the small but significant pleasure of having a coffee in my garden this morning in my dressing gown. I use the term 'garden' loosely. It is in fact, a patio. With some plants, but they might be weeds.

We inherited a shed. They couldn't unscrew it to take it away as intended (for their bikes). Again, I use the word 'shed' loosely. I've always wanted a shed to go and sit in at the bottom of the garden... Well, I could. If I sat on the floor. But it will be rather handy. In fact, it's full of flattened removal boxes. I'm working my way through the full ones. Still one room piled high.

Still can't find things, but it's a joy when something sought after turns up. Each day we get more organised. The kitchen is now clear of boxes and crumpled newspaper. I have enough newspaper knot kindling to last till Christmas! We needed to make room for the new table and chairs coming tomorrow. Exciting!

Really loving the wee fire - it's an Aga actually.

Another iPad photo in desperation. We inherited the bench too. Not that it looks particularly safe... Been on the go all day. I'm going to turn the comments off because I won't be able to reply till I get more organised - too stuffed in the evenings!

Thanks again for all your good wishes.

PS Looks like my turning off comments hasn't worked. I will catch up with you all soon!
