FED 5 (cccp)

It's a Ukranian rangefinder from the 70's. The FED company spent their early years making replicas of Leica cameras and this is one of the last models they made. I've seen the very rare FED 10 once and it looks very old space age. Like, how people in the past might have imagined the future. Anyway, it's got an uncoupled selenium light meter, so setting exposure is either hard or easy, however you look at it. Of course the meter uses the old Russian GOST film speeds, but some modern film still matches up with it. The lens is pretty neat too. It's got a wee bit of Lanthanum ( a slightly radioactive element) in it. Exactly what I would expect from this former soviet hunk of metal. I can't wait to take it for a spin.
