Preparing

This morning I woke almost too late for the sunrise. I did manage to get one photo shortly after the sun had risen, which I have put in my blipfolio, along with a photo of Snells Beach, taken from near where we stay.

My run took me along Erceg's Way just behind the line of pohutukawa trees just back from the sand. As I went past the carpark by the beach at the end of Snells Beach Road (which is where many people camp overnight in the camper vans) I saw a couple preparing to head out on the bay in their kayaks. This was the initial photo of them.

I could see that they would be a wee while, and I headed further along the path before turning back at what I thought was the appropriate time. They were almost ready, and I took a photo to ensure that I had everything right. Three sharp peeps from the camera then informed me that the battery had gone flat.

Although at the time I was disappointed to not get the desired picture (of two kayaks being paddled out into the sunlit bay), when I uploaded the morning's work onto my laptop, I was more than satisfied with this particular photo.
