Anyone would think it's still summer

Tidying up in the garden today and it's very warm for time of year, as we tend to say. Everything is looking tired and a little battered but it has been a fabulous year so I'm not complaining. Today I noticed this Hesperantha Coccinea /i] or flag lily as they are more commonly known. Please do not be impressed by my horticultural knowledge, it was a plant that was featured on yesterday's Gardeners World TV programme!
The lawns are being mowed today, possibly for the last time this year, although if I know the Head Gardener he will try to sneak one more cut in. Bless!!
