Friday: Mirna

It was All Saints' Day today so I had a lovely random day off, turning this weekend into a three day weekend. Today was, in the main, a lazy relaxed day.

This evening we went out to meet our friend, Tea. She brought her friend, Mirna, seen here, with her. She is a commodities trader in wheat and grain. I didn't even know such a job existed. Apparently it is very stressful as she often has to secure trucks of wheat and grain at very short notice and at optimum prices. It does amaze me the jobs people do that keep our lives functioning in lots of different ways. Apparently, it doesn't stretch to me calling her when I need a loaf of bread though - and I did ask!

So November/Movember is here - I am still reeling from seeing my old friend, Goatee, without his beard!. All in an excellent cause and I look forward to seeing the progress.

Edit: I am afraid I had to delete and repost as my camera was still on summer time, which meant it showed up as an entry on the wrong day, so have lost all the comments.  But thank you, I did appreciate them all.  And thanks to Mum for pointing out my error!
