The Prize (The Loquat)... on mono Friday

I might have to ease off visiting your journals for a while as I am pretty well half blind in one eye and half blind in half of the other...until I collect my new glasses from the optometrist. The prescription for the left eye for distance has increased by 4 points and I am starting to really experience eye strain. For the interim I am organising other business I need to do when I re-visit soon our big city of Adelaide where my optometrist of some years back is situated. Heigh Ho all good.

I will be sorry not to be able to visit everybodys' journals that I do and comment on as frequently as I have been. It needs be another period of gathering information and making the sort of decisions that are getting a bit more complicated in some ways than they have been...recent experience of mine suggests a person beginning to show the wear and tear of ageing and their lifestyle choices has to be circumspect about staying on information trails and finding satisfaction in regard of their health care. From a viewpoint that the personal is the political as well I have an interest in getting re-engaged with consumer issues in respect of health services delivery. That has been an activity of mine in another life and perhaps I need to go back there.

We'll see about that latter in the balance of responsibilities I have to a property and its lifestyle for one, my health and its maintenance and so on...

This week I received an email message followed on by a letter from a very long-time ago friend of mine who I left a message for ... a good while ago now on Youtube where he earlier missed that I did. My surprise delight is how much we have to share of the long time since the short time we enjoyed as students at University in Queensland. Social Media has made these life refreshments a good deal easier than they might have been...and again I am recalling that through blipping I have met on paper leastwise some sterling people whose focus and interest in photography reveals such interesting aspects to the past-time or pursuit of excellence in the medium, to communicating through photography, to being a diarist, to being a blipper. I notice other blippers saying thank you from time to time. I, too, have felt the urge. Thank you so sincerely. I love the journals of my blipper friends. Thank you to sydbin who introduced me to Blipfoto. :)

Bugs because I have chased around for a long time in the yellow and white poppy patch for a half-decent at least photo of these very tiny creatures. The tiny bug that can hide itself under the pistils and stamen whatever of the poppy demonstrate remarkable survival skills when the camera draws in close. For days I have tried to fathom how to not alarm their very most inner drive to survive. They scurry and hide. Wonderful to watch and learn, their natures I mean, but how much nicer to see them going about their gathering without fear of a great silver machine descending down on them gleaming in the sun. :)
