The Devil's Eye...
My nod to Halloween...
An hour late as this is posted at 1 a.m. the next morning but I shared the lovely, delightful and talented Helen - I was blown away by ALL the tremendously positive comments and for it getting so high up in the Spotlights.
Helen was chuffed too and she followed all the comments - I really don't do portraits so it was an interesting collaboration... and a successful one, we feel. You were all so very encouraging!
Back to this circular fisheye - typically, with rain due for all of Friday, I thought I'd cheated the precipitation but as soon as I had the tripod up (like all good tripods, they can occasionally be right awkward **ds to set up, if you try and hurry too much) it started to rain, heavily.
This was the first shot. A quick guessed exposure and the second was ruined by massive rain blobs - there is no lenshood (due to huge angle of view) on such lenses to help protect from the heavens.
A mono conversion, a teeny bit of cloning out and a mono conversion then with red filtration, to make it blood-red and SPOOKY....
Lens is Sigma 8mm f3.5 fisheye on the full-frame D700
