Woke up this morning, took Juno out at 6.15 to a glorious sunrise looking east from Blackford Hill, forgot the camera, what a muppet.

Picked some brambles and apples this morning before going to see the Edinburgh Common Riding first since 1946.

it was great seeing no cars on the road and the horses snaking their way up the road to the city centre.

An interesting array of horses and people. This was going through my mind..

"I want to live like common people
I want to do whatever common people do
I want to sleep with common people
I want to sleep with common people like you"

Common they were not.

Maybe we should have an urban common riding, hoodies with BMX, Mountain Bikes on the pavement and supped up hatch backs revving at the back. At each district of the city they set fire to a car to mark the boundaries and scarper over the place to meet again in another area.

Anyway back up the hill foraging for apples, got loads and met some young foragers and gave them some huge cookers for crumble tonight.

Fireworks tonight need to see how Juno reacts.
