Coot
Thursday
It was quite a chilly start this morning - right about freezing - but under clear blue skies, the sun soon warmed things up. I went walking at Samoreau today, around a small lake, which I assume is a former gravel pit, and along the river. There's usually quite a bit of bird activity on the water, gulls, swans, maybe a cormorant, and especially quite a number of coots, so that is what I bring you today. There was also quite a bit of commercial barge activity on the river, and interestingly enough I saw one barge go by that I had seen yesterday, moored along the canal - I recognized the name!
