Too early?!

I have a Christmas cactus that is meant to bloom at Christmas. However, this year it decided to bloom early! One of my pet peeves is that right after Hallowe'en the commercial Christmas begins - too early, in my opinion. By the time Christmas arrives, I feel somewhat desensitized. The awe and brilliance of the season are fading. I think my Christmas cactus decided to join ranks (sigh).
