Think Pink charity party at the British Embassy

The second "Think Pink" charity event this week. The Embassy held a wonderful garden party in the Embassy grounds. The staff had worked hard decorating the garden with pink bunting, balloons and pompoms. The food, decorations and prizes were all donated by local businesses. I was told that virtually all the expenses were covered by donations, which meant all the revenue from the entrance tickets went to the breast cancer charity. They also raised funds through a raffle and auction. One auction item (I think it was driving a racing car round the F1 circuit) went for an amazing BD7, 000! Which is about USD18,000! Well done British Embassy in Bahrain and thank you for a lovely evening!
