Had to go up to London today.

I'd rather foolishly assumed that it being half term the trains would be nice and quiet, like the roads are during the holidays. Au contaire! The trains were packed with yummy mummies and pesky kids. Isn't it strange how one's own family (niece and nephew in my case) are rather endearing, but other small children are plain annoying?

Regardless, a productive day. I met up with one of the new people I'm managing which was good. The main event though was an interview for a promotion. Slightly interrupted by the fire alarm going off and decamping to the National Theatre :-) Seemed to go well.
