Absent Voices in Black and white

This charcoal sketch of by Absent Voices artist, Anne McKay, is so definite and oozing with atmosphere.

In the course of the next year, Greenock-born Anne, will be doing more drawings like this for Absent Voices with great consideration for the people who worked in the once vibrant sugar industry in the town.

As she says, 'their absent voices still echo within the sugar sheds.
