First Ballet Exam

Katie gave me serious butterflies today. Today she had her first ever ballet exam. I was so nervous for her! She was very calm. Her hair was immaculate, her uniform clean and tidy. Despite a minor hiccup immediately outside the room that meant she needed to be pinned into a borrowed leotard, she went into her exam and did a fantastic job of her first one. They said she smiled, danced beautifully and came out and laughed her way through class. I was very very very proud of her. She is the youngest in her class and did fab.

After ballet, we stopped to get one of her favourite quick out and about lunches (there's a sweetcorn stall at the station, she loves it!) before we met our friend in town and all had a little walk. They went off to the park for a while, so I could go do a session in the woods, before we all met back up for a bit more pottering.

When we got home, it was all systems go to get ready for Katie's birthday party tomorrow. I made her cake, made her marshmallow pops and she danced around very excited.
