Paddy and Patient

Up early this morning for the 400km drive north to Mzuzu.
All was well with the bus for a couple of hours, but with a quarter of the journey still to go water began to emerge from under the drivers feet in an ever increasing flow!!
A gasket or some such thing had blown, so there was nothing for it but to stop frequently and fill up, carrying water from distances, freewheeling down hills (and there are many) and when you get up a head of steam don't stop for anything!! (no pun intended) and it was'nt funny at the time.
They limped to the Lusangazi farm but sometimes there's no rest for the wicked.
Dr Paddy Feeney was called into action immediately. One of our neighbours children came to greet the group; Paddy noticed an eye infection, opened his, very overweight, bag of goodies, applied the ointment and left the tube.
Good deed number one in the first minutes and many more to come.
