Cathedral Rock, Sedona Arizona

It was impossible to get a good shot of this rock. It drove me to distraction. When I took this shot on Sunday morning it was hazy.

So, determined to get a better shot I went back on Friday only to find that it was hazy again, this time from a controlled burn the forest rangers were conducting. Unfortunately, I ran out of time to try to get a better shot.

The Native Americans believed that Cathedral Rock was a mystical place and some believe that a very powerful vortex exists there today.

I will chalk this less than acceptable shot to the vortex :)
