Cosy Up For A Cuppa

On the topic of teapots and therefore teacosies, today I give you a cosy that, as far as I recall, was already consigned to a drawer when we were using our family pot. (Look in large for the detail). My mother would have sewn it in the 1940's, I think.

It was always an article of amusement to us kids but, unlike many a period piece, never thrown away so, naturally, I had to keep it when we closed the house. We don't dare use it, so it lives in the china cabinet - on show.

Finally, may I say a big 'thank you' to all who visited and commented on my 1000th blip yesterday. (A pity it didn't make the spotlight, as far as I could see, but, then, neither did my 730th). Your comments and stars are most encouraging.
