Between fen and mountains

Autumn beach

The storm passed in the night and now the sun is out. I don't think it will last. The beaches are quite and will soon be deserted. They stretch for miles on the island and the town and little villages are very distinctive with their low, whitewashed houses and blue shutters. It is a place apart as most small islands are. A long walk on the beach and a bicycle ride have reinvigorated us ready for this afternoon's onward journey to Finisterre.
