Before the rain ...

... and even before we'd had our coffee, we went for a walk high above Loch Eck. The fleeting shafts of sunlight heighten the contrast between the black waters of the loch and the golden hillside on which we were walking, and a last wisp of mist hangs over the forest on the far side of Stratheck.

The rain held off till mid-afternoon, but we had chosen the best time to be out.
