Just for Once

"Just for once why couldn't I win?"

A wet day today so we went down to the beach, the theory being that they were going to get wet anyway and at least there wouldn't be any mud on the beach!

Poppy found a bottle, she was so pleased with herself BUT, of course, little bossy boots couldn't rest until he had taken it away from her. It is the same expression as at breakfast time when I forgot to shut the door between the two of them and Bud got in to finish off her food. She just stands there letting him do it with this look on her face.

In the end they did have a really good game of fetch with the bottle, in and out of the sea. "Go on, go on,go on" I kept yelling to Poppy at the top of my voice there was no other stupid person getting soaked on the beach so we were completely alone!, and Poppy reached the bottle first as she will always go in further. "Good Girl" I kept yelling, but she still dropped it every time for Bud to pick up.

When Bud was in the sea I thought to myself how stupid I was to put his raincoat on, it just floated around him with him getting soaked anyway!
