" I'LL WALK THE LINE " - Johny Cash.
The weather looked very promising this morning. Even the forecast said 'The best day of the week' and because yesterday had been lovely and sunny in the afternoon, I thought right - I'll wear a skirt to work just with a jacket!! Oh woe is me - because by 11.00am the sun had been replaced by large black clouds and yes, you've guessed it - it started to rain.
I happened to look out of the lounge window just before setting off to work this morning and spotted our usual Pheasant. I shall call him Percy. I often hear him on the bund which seperates our gardens from the farmers field. But he never comes into our garden (well he's not completely stupid)!
So I managed to get a quick photo. It's quite a long shot, so he's not as sharp as i would have liked. But hey ho - there's been nothing else.
I did see a buzzard on the way home, he took off and hovered briefly but the detail wasn't good.
So here we are with Percy Pheasant. We used to have two who were resident at the Stogumber Station. They were a mating pair and could often be seen strutting about and became quite tame. Probably there downfall in the end.
Although we dont have too many autumn shades, we certainly have a lot of leaves blowing about. I love the way they make patterns as they swirl about, especially behind moving vehicles.
Hoping you've all had a good Thursday without major traumas. Friday is looming and then whoope we have another Saturday. Shame we dont have two in each week!! Maybe someone should make a decree- ha ha.
Now with the wind blowing a hoolie it's time to batten down the hatches, switch off and fall asleep. Tomorrow I have an early start as 'the beast' is due in the garage over at Honiton for an MOT. They will give me a hire car to go off and lose myself and then on my return I am due at 'the quacks' for a check up. Anothe busy day.
Good night my friends, until we 'meet' again, take care. You are all very precious people and a part of my life. X
