A hum, a dodgy knee and a shock.
A few chores and phone calls to make this morning. I could see a fantastic huge long white cloud and blue skies, but I couldn’t get out fast enough. Shall I go on the bus somewhere scenic and get some autumny shots? But why go on a bus anywhere? Why not just go into town!
My knee is playing up - has been for a few days. It keeps giving way. Which makes walking hazardous, as it collapses at inopportune moments (not that there are any opportune moments). Then for a while it will be all right. But certainly, going up or down steps and hills is not the easiest, which makes Edinburgh town centre a bit like a Fitness Boot Camp. In fact, I walked limped right past My Club today, not wishing to face the stairs. But it means that I definitely have to take heed of the Green Man, and not go once he starts flashing. And I can’t run for buses. Hope it’s temporary...
Our humungous TV has developed a few little quirks. The sound just goes off when it feels like it. Like during Homeland (not that I can understand much of their mumblings anyway). And it’s developed a loud, but occasional HUM. Very annoying, because when you walk close to see where it’s coming from, it stops! So I popped into JL to talk to the tech advice people. No, this was not normal. Nor were the other little quirks I listed, complete with photos on my camera of the screen saying annoying things.
Would I like a technician to come out tomorrow? Yes please. When I arrived home, there was a phone message reminding me that the technician is coming tomorrow. There was a number to ring tomorrow after 9am to get a more accurate estimate of the time. How efficient! No wonder JL is booming - customer service is a priority!
Finally got the bill from the real estate/solicitor for the sale and purchase of the flats...
JINGS!
Amazing how they charge a percentage 'Real Estate' fees, then charge separately for all the things one would think that that should include - media package, uploading the Home Report (£30!), brochures, even the 'For Sale' sign…
I think I will have to go and lie down in a darkened room...
