Wallace Monument and Ochil Hills...
Backblip. I was on an indirect ride home yesterday evening when, after a day of so-so weather and the kind of flat light that no photographer looks forward to, the sun finally appeared and cast a rather fine, soft light and lovely contrast onto the town and the Ochil Hills behind. I was taken with this view from the high point of the Old Stirling Bridge, my eye drawn by the three golden trees in the foreground (which look like they might be young beech trees), the Wallace Monument in shade beyond them and the sunlit hills behind. The River Forth below the bridge was also bank-full after two days of very heavy rain, and very brown with suspended silt.
