Old Stirling Brig and lovely evening sun

After a day of so-so flat light and occasional near appearances of sunshine, the sky finally cleared as I was on a circuitous bike ride home, and Stirling was bathed in a soft, golden evening light. I rode alongside the tidal River Forth and caught some lovely reflections in the smooth, calm river, including this view of the Old Stirling Brig. This is almost on the site of the bridge that was fought over in the 1296 Battle of Stirling Bridge, by William Wallace's army and the English army occupying Stirling Castle. Much calmer and more peaceful tonight!
