Summer or autumn?

It was unseasonably hot today, not just warm but hot. I was roasting all day so threw caution to the wind and dug out my summer sandals to go out this evening. On the way home I realised how odd my sandalled feet looked against the expansive leaf litter on the pavement. Squishy, wet, dead leaves don't go so well with summery feet in sandals as it turns out! But at least my feet were cool.
(This is definitely one of my stranger blips!)
