Turning over a new leaf

It's just a few weeks now until I head off into the heathery wilds of West Yorkshire for my week-long creative writing retreat. It's taking place here, in a building once owned by Ted Hughes, of whose angular pronouncements I remain a devoted fan. So that's got to be a good omen. When I booked the course months ago it seemed like...err...months away. Now it's almost here so I'd really better get on and write some stuff....
