contrasts

The rain started at 6 am yesterday and was continuous for 30 hours. At midday the first bit of brightness lit the trees in front of the house.

It was great to get out this afternoon for a bit of exercise. Headed up Skelghyll Lane and into the woods. Met Mr M who lives up the lane and had a chat in the sunshine. Further up the footpath I was paddling - had the right footwear on for once so my feet stayed dry.

Took this photo looking towards Fairfield which is somewhere up in the cloud. The tree catching the light caught my eye. If I was taller there might have been more of it but this is the best I could manage!
