Third Year Abroad

By LittleLots

So over a month after the official start of uni and I'm finally matriculated, I actually exist in the university system. The plus side of this means that I'm now enrolled into classes so don't have to worry about them being full. The downside being that I now have little excuse not to attend. Although, to be honest, it had almost got to the point where I wanted to go to classes. Almost. Never thought I would utter those words... Managed to get into two of the classes that I wanted and have actually attended a couple of times. The third one, however, is completely new, so I will discovering what the history of Spanish literature entails for the first time this week. The matriculation process itself was easy enough, and they were only running about half an hour behind so more or less on time for Spain. Although I did seem to know more about the courses than the woman who was supposed to be advising me, and considering my rather basic knowledge this is fairly worrying... But at least its done and I even attended my first officially enrolled class which happens to be at 7:30-9:30pm, a time totally unheard of in England but people barely bat an eyelid here. It does mean you get a pretty stunning view on the way to class.

The 21st was also my Edinburgh friend Lisa's birthday so of course there was another flat party that evening, not that we generally need the excuse. So there were drinks and metre long pizzas and of course the obligatory private jamming session as suddenly guitars appeared in all the guys hands. This has become a bit of a tradition at flat parties, and to be honest at any opportunity they're given. This may also explain the obligatory appearance of angry neighbours at every flat party...
