Ornamental Cherry Tree in Autumn
A number of years ago our neignbourhood agreed that each household would plant a couple of ornamental cherry trees in the grassy strips running parallel to the pavements. These have thrived. In the spring we enjoy a riot of pink blossom and in the autumn the street is bedecked with brilliant red foliage. Our two trees are still quite green, but a few doors along the colours are reaching their peak.
I used a wideangled shot to emphasise this red cluster close to the camera and applied the twirl filter to add a little movement to the composition.
