Scarborough

As soon as I realised there was a Scarborough near Perth, I was determined that one day I would take Katie. And today I finally did!
Aunty Lauren wasnt feeling well today, so Uncle Chris & I decided to get the children dressed and out quickly this morning. We packed them up and headed off to the cinema to see Turbo. They loved it, all three of them. They ate a mountain of Australian popcorn (no sweet popcorn, just salt. Still a big hit!). The whole way to Scarborough beach, they were pretending to be the snails from the film.
At Scarborough, Katie and I went for a little wander round and our only "photo shoot" of the holiday. She had a lot of fun having pictures done by some amazing grafitti-style art walls and on the sand. We then went with Max & Edie to the big park by the beach before we took them all on to the beach. They spent a long time hunting for shells. The lifeguards were very happy to let Katie and Max have ask questions and look at all the equipment. Scarborough is a big surfing beach, so we watched the surfers for a while. We saw them tow the big rescue jet ski out of the sand (with difficulty) and then got back to the collecting. We came home with a wonderful set of pink treasures - pink seaweed, some pink sea flower, a pink shell. A really chilled and happy day!
