Awesome Arts Again

We had such a good time at the Arts on Tuesday, and had barely touched all that we could have done, that we decided to go back today. The children had a fantastic time with a water installation, where they changed the configuration of it to make different things activate. They followed the trails again. Then we went to the Better Beginnings Book tent. The children got to make their own books - sticking, gluing, drawing. These were then "published", with several copies of them made to both take home and display. All three of them spent ages on their books. Katie did one about her family. It was adorable.

After the arts festival, we went back to the food court and fed the children huge piles of food again. They are eating really well! We then headed to Perth's huge Australian Souvenir Superstore. Katie and I had a lot of fun choosing souvenirs for our family, and a couple of things for us. We then went out and played in the water fountains that are in the middle of the city. Max got utterly drenched. Katie was a little more restrained but had lots of fun too.

When we'd dried the children off - both from the water fountains and the huge rainstorm - we went to play with Archie and Cara at Jojo's house. The kids did really well all playing together. We all had fish & chips together (again! Katie's had it once in her life before, then has had it several times in Australia and absolutely loved it!). A really nice evening with friends, to end another fantastic day.
