One of the great things about the beach is you really don't need to take anything.

The lovely Horrigan family of (currently) Nottingham have come to stay for a few days. I have a cunning plan to kidnap them and make them live here. Well, I don't actually have a plan yet but I'm sure it will be good when I've come up with one.
Because they've arrived on a Sunday - which is totally weird, right? - I've spent the whole day thinking it's Saturday and I can't get my head round the fact that Tess has school tomorrow.

This morning we did the usual lying around relaxing, feeling calm about everything that one does when guests are imminent
;o)

Then when they arrived I put a cup of tea in front of them and insisted we all went to the beach.

Gemma and Joel came back from their respective nights out and we had roast dinner for 9. And then Tess, Maddy and Felix played hide the penguin while the teens hid themselves in their rooms.

The kids got ready for bed and Maddy and Felix appeared wearing fetching onesies. Dylan the dog was rather impressed with Maddy's dalmatian onesie. In fact he was rather too taken by it...
Ahem...

We mostly gassed and stomped on the beach so I didn't really bother about photos.
