Hutton-le-Hole
We travelled down to Yorkshire today to celebrate Grandma and Grandad's Ruby wedding anniversary. We are staying in a cottage near Whitby with them for the weekend, along with Uncle Charles and Auntie Kirsty. The car journey was very long and I got a bit a cranky. We were driving over the North Yorkshire Moors so we stopped in Hutton-le-Hole for a little break. Grandma and Grandad used to bring Dad and Uncle Charles here every year on their wedding anniversary. Dad says they bought toy planes in Pickering and then flew them on the village green. I liked Hutton-le-Hole. I met a friendly little girl who had a puppy called Piggle and she let me clap him. We saw sheep on the village green and watched the water flowing under the bridge.
Once we got back in the car I slept for the rest of the journey. I don't normally get a sleep so late in the day, so I didn't want to go to bed. I also didn't want to go to bed because we were in a new place with different people. Mum and Dad both tried to get me to sleep but ended up bringing me downstairs to sit in my chair while they all had dinner. I didn't go to sleep until half past ten!
