Evening sky
At work in the morning and after lunch we loaded the care with stuff for camping, walking, cycling and running and headed north.
We were heading just a bit west of Aberdeen and on the cross-country route to avoid the city there were some lovely views - but nowhere to stop.
We got to site near Kintore and got the tent up and then tried to cook supper. Help! The 40 year old primus stove (which had been very well behaved in July) wouldn't keep the pressure up and the back-up camping gaz stove didn't have enough fuel to work in the cold. Fortunately when I went over to the site shop where I hoped to find someone a young man appeared and, after explaining my predicament, gave me a small cylinder - thankyou so much.
As we were attempting to cook the sky turned a nice shade of pink so that's my blip for the day
