the party's over

Yesterday we had our first snow. It didn't last long. But it sure got the trees to start dropping their leaves.
This scene reminds me of the morning after a party when all the lovely crepe paper streamers start sagging and falling down.
And yet I find it still inviting...come sit, savor the memories, revisit the good times.
And that is a good picture of the practice of gratitude!
