More milk, Mommy xxx
It's official, (well, so long as it wasn't just coincidence) Ashton and Parsons Infant Powders are a revelation! We all had the best night sleep we'd had in weeks last night. Eva woke briefly at 11pm, I gave her a quick feed and she was back asleep in her bed within 15 minutes. Then didn't hear a peep til 4 am, when I changed her nappy, as her bottom has been so sore, gave her another quick feed, and she was again back asleep in her own bed within no time. Then I woke at 9 am (my alarm obviously hadn't been set properly) and she was still fast asleep, so I left her sleeping while I went for my shower, and she was awake and grinning up at me when I got back into the bedroom.
I wonder if another thing that has helped is, I didn't put her in her grobag to sleep last night. I've often wondered lately if it restricts her stretching her legs out, and that wakes her up, so last night and tonight, I've just put her in a roomy babygrow and tucked her in with one of her fleecy baby blankets.
She spent most of the afternoon, after a 2 hour nap at lunchtime, on her mat without a nappy on, and I'm pleased and relieved to say that her bottom is showing definite signs of healing now thankfully.
We FaceTime'd Aunty Liza today, and at the end of the call Eva waved goodbye. It's her latest thing and is very cute! I was pleased my sis got to see her do it too.
My dad called round just as I was about to give Eva her dinner, so he kept her entertained while I got it ready. It's lovely hearing him so enthused about the Open University degree he's started. I know he's going to do so well.
I think I've seen one of the offending new tussies today too. If I'm not mistaken, it's one of the top 2, the one on her right. I think it's unusual for only 1 of the top 2 to come down without the other, but we shall see.
I ummed and arred about using today's pic on here, but I love it, so I have :-) besides, it does represent today quite well, as she has wanted lots of cuddles and milk lately, and I am certainly not complaining as I love those moments. Moments that are whizzing by way too fast. I wish the days would slow down.
Mike gave Eva her bath tonight, and then I gave her her milk and settled her down by 8pm. She did wake briefly and I got 2 burps up and then she went back down.
It's 10.35pm as I type this and she's just woken again, I'd best go to her. I really hope last night wasn't a fluke...... Xxx
Am amending this.... I didn't go straight up to her. I waited 10 minutes as she was only whinging, going dadadadadadadadadada (her new noise) not crying, and I watched her on the camera, and she was playing with her snuggle bear, and she now appears to have gone back to sleep..... Watch this space xxxxx
