Close House Northumberland.

Close House was owned by Kings College, Newcastle, from 1960 until 1994, and it was the venue for many courses which my husband attended during that time.He has often talked about this beautiful building, and it's even more beautiful surroundings. It is now a hotel and when we found ourselves in the area this morning we went in for coffee.It is still a beautiful building, but has lost a lot of it's decorative features and become more functional. However the grounds are magnificent, with many of these wonderful old trees and of course the obligatory golf course.
