"one look at you"

No, I haven't gotten myself into serious trouble....

This is another perk to being in Glasgow for training - going to watch court cases!!!

I'd never been to a Court room for any reason before so this was a new experience! I suddenly felt like a proper professional as we casually walked through the security and took our seats in a murder trial.

A Court room is open for any member of the public to walk in and watch proceedings at any time, I'd just never gotten round to it in the past, even though we had been advised by our lecturers to spend a morning in the Sheriff Court during our course!

The murder trial we observed was nearing an end but it was worthwhile listening to some Forensic scientists give their evidence and watch the prosecution and defence fight it out! It prepared me for what life might be like should I train to 'expert' level. But what I found most unsettling was sitting there staring into the eyes of a murderer....they were cold....

They went down for 15 years!
