Henley On Thames

Working near to Henley today, not ideal weather for working on the highway, water water everywhere! Anyway Peter needed a paper for his lunchtime read so we popped across the border!

This train was brought to Henley from Barnstaple, where it had been used as part of the town’s entry for regional, national and international In Bloom competitions. It is planted with succulents and apparently took 3 hours to plant up with some 4500 plants!

It stands on the site of the former train turntable which was in operation until 1925.
