Birthday Eve

The boy is certainly counting down.

Enormous amounts of work that has been very satisfying. Would have liked to have done more but the evening came and the boy is still sleeping in the office due to a delivery failure meaning a new bed but no bed slats. We've come much closer to meeting the bedroom deadline than we thought a couple of weeks ago but sadly we are not quite there. Turns out to be way more moving parts than anticipated. He is quite right to describe himself as the "canary child".

At least the teachers have given him a day off,
